Appeal of the Presidium of the Government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria to the Governments of the United Nations Member States for Recognition of Independence!

The Presidium of the Government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, the legitimate government of the Chechen state in exile, appeals to the governments of the United Nations member states to recognize the independence of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.

This state was rightfully reestablished following the collapse of the Soviet empire in 1991. However, the territory of the republic was illegally occupied by the neighboring Russian Federation.

We call for the condemnation of the occupation of our country and the genocide of the Chechen people by the Russian Federation, which has killed over 250,000 of our peaceful citizens.
